Transam Firebird 8’3 x 22

The Transam Firebird Diamond Minimal/Longboard borrows a lot of attributes from smaller hybrid boards – more than just the shape, the complex MPH bottom contours enable the board to plane very quickly, and the added volume in the nose gained from the extra width, means that this board paddles like a longboard.
The tail is narrowed to a Diamond tail with channels and a rolled V – helping the board to roll side to side and to turn like a smaller board, whilst maintaining speed by forcing water through the fins.
Look past the unconventional shape and you just found your new minimal.
Yes, it’s a Bandit machine, and yes, you need the hat.
Wave size:
The Transam is ideally ridden in waves from ankle high to 4 foot.
Glassing options: Currently Howitzer boards are only available in PU and Polyester resin.
Standard glassing – good quality, optimal weight to strength for specific board’s intended use.

Heavy Duty Glassing – Optimized strength, but a bit heavier than standard glassing.

Fin layout:

The Transam is setup to be a very versatile board that allows for multiple fin configurations,  meaning you can run single fin in a fin box (custom Howitzer Katana single fin included in sale), 1 + 2 setup (not included) or standard FCS truster set (not included) for more performance orientated surfing where agility is needed. GoPro plug installed on the nose for secure carefree camera mounting, to capture those long running waves.

Board colours and designs:
I design unique artwork for every board that leaves my shaping bay, and that unfortunately means that there is only one of these available ( it is for sale at the moment), and I have more iconic Autos lined up, so if you want something like this, let me know.
*Please note:  All Howitzer boards are handshaped and not a single board is a stock item. Because of this boards take a little longer, but you get a truly unique board.
